A devastating incident has occurred in a cement mill resulting in the tragic death of a man identified as Oluseye Goriola after he was trapped in a Cement Mill while inspecting a newly repaired machine that was installed in the facility at a time when the machine was in operation.
The incident occurred at HBM Ewekoro Cement Plant in Ogun State on the 29th August, 2026.
It was gathered that at about 0930 hours, the victim Oluseye Goriola, a male adult aged 53 years, who was a contract staff member of the company, became trapped at the GP Line 1 Cement Mill 3 as he was inspecting a newly repaired machine that had been installed at the facility, at a time when the machine was in operation.
He was immediately rushed to Agbesi Clinic for urgent medical attention. He was subsequently referred to Medicare Hospital in Ota, where he was sadly confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty.
His remains was deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, by his relatives.
Police detectives visited the scene of the incident and promised a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
