Prominent Nigerian journalist, actress, and entrepreneur Florencemary Nwabueze has declared that she will not enroll her future children in any educational institution that does not offer courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), citing the rapid pace of technological advancement across the world.

Speaking during the weekend on the growing influence of AI, Florencemary emphasized that artificial intelligence is reshaping industries and societies globally, adding that it is becoming an indispensable part of modern life.

According to her, schools that fail to embrace AI education risk leaving students unprepared for the future.

"To be sincere, my children will start learning AI from the womb," she said jokingly. "The very day I give birth to them, they will be introduced to AI. There is virtually no corner of the earth that AI is not taking over."

She noted that technology has become a driving force behind economic growth and innovation, pointing to the remarkable strides made by China and the United States in artificial intelligence development.

Florencemary argued that AI is no longer a luxury but a necessity, stressing that young people must be equipped with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Highlighting China's progress in the sector, she cited achievements such as advanced AI-powered facial recognition systems, self-driving vehicle technology, AI-assisted healthcare solutions, smart city infrastructure, robotics innovation, and leading AI research institutions that continue to push the boundaries of technological development.

"China for example have advanced AI-powered facial recognition systems that aids in catching criminals, alot of cars that drive themselves enabling even a disabled person to be independent, their healthcare system is just so good, very soon doctors will be doing surgery even without being present. Their cities- excellenct, both their infrastructure everything just look like they are in another world."

She further stated that technology has effectively transformed the global landscape, making digital literacy and AI knowledge essential components of modern education.

Florencemary insist that AI education should become a core part of school curricula, noting that artificial intelligence continues to influence business, healthcare, education, transportation, and communication.
