The Anambra State Police Command is broadening its security approach through a new partnership with the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), signaling a shift toward more inclusive crime-fighting strategies across the state.

During a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Awka on Friday, leaders from both agencies pledged to deepen cooperation in what police officials describe as a critical step toward consolidating recent gains in public safety.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Ezekiel, who received the NFSS delegation on behalf of the Commissioner, emphasized the importance of leveraging strategic partnerships to maintain momentum in the fight against crime.

"We are determined to sustain proactive policing across Anambra State," Ezekiel stated. "Collaboration with key security stakeholders remains essential to our operational strategy."

The police command specifically called on the Forest Security Service to strengthen its role as an information partner, urging the agency to provide credible and timely intelligence that could aid in crime prevention and detection.

Leading the delegation, Mazi Destiny Jonas expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the police command's proactive security posture.

"We are fully prepared to partner with the Police and other security agencies in promoting peace and safety throughout Anambra State," Jonas assured.

The meeting concluded with both parties renewing their commitment to operational coordination and sustained stakeholder engagement. The partnership aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police for a safer Nigeria through collaborative security management.

"As we broaden our all-inclusive operational strategy, partnerships like this will be vital to addressing the complex security challenges facing our communities," Ezekiel added.

The visit marks the latest in a series of efforts by the Anambra Police Command to build bridges with security agencies and community stakeholders in the ongoing fight against criminal activity.
