Six Nigerian national arrested in Thailand over visa violation

Six Nigerians has been arrested along side one other african during a targeted operation by the Tourist police officers in the Khlong Sam Wa district of Bangkok.

According to crime asia, investigators carried out the raid following intelligence regarding individuals residing in the area without stable employment.

Four men, identified as Mr Christian Tounkara, Mr Monday Akachukwu Anikpe, Mr Chineze Emmanuel Onyechere and Mr Mazi Ejiofor Edochie, were charged with overstaying their visas for periods of more than two years.

Three further individuals, Mr Emeka Frank Uzoije, Mr Emmanuel Kelechi Ewulu and Mr Ikechkuwu Prince Umunna, were detained for entering the kingdom without valid travel documentation.

Authorities handed all seven suspects over to officers at Min Buri Police Station for legal proceedings and subsequent deportation.
