LAGOS –The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Headquarters, Lagos, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, has received high praise from a delegation of the Ilorin Emirates Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) his distinguished career and commitment to professional policing.
The National President of IEDPU, Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration ACG A. A. AbdulMalik (Rtd.), led the union's delegation on a courtesy visit to the Zonal Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, where they commended the AIG's contributions to maintaining peace and security across Lagos and Ogun States.
ACG AbdulMalik described AIG Jimoh as "a disciplined, principled and dutiful officer whose professional conduct reflects the values of good character and responsible citizenship." He noted that the qualities align with the moral standards instilled at Barakat Community Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, one of the schools established by IEDPU where AIG Jimoh received his secondary school education.
He emphasized that the school is committed not only to academic excellence but also to instilling good virtues, sound societal values, moral discipline and exemplary character in its students, while expressing confidence in AIG Jimoh's capacity to discharge his responsibilities with diligence and integrity.
In his response, AIG Jimoh expressed deep appreciation for the delegation's visit and the goodwill extended to him. He acknowledged the Union's longstanding interest in his career and described the recognition as both an honour and a reminder of the responsibility that accompanies public service.
Reaffirming his commitment to professional policing, AIG Jimoh pledged to discharge his constitutional responsibilities guided by the rule of law, respect for fundamental human rights, and principles of justice and fairness. He assured that justice would be pursued without fear or favour, regardless of an individual's social status, position, or class.
